Aluminium Sheets 1010 & 6082 1000 series Aluminium: are the purest forms of aluminium, they are resistant to chemical attack and weathering, easily worked and welded, but the lowest strength aluminium. They are often used for chemical processing equipment and other applications where material purity is important. Being highly ductile 1000 series aluminium is used for metal pressings of all types. Aluminium alloy 6082: is a medium strength aluminium alloy offering excellent corrosion resistance and is widely used for light to medium strength applications. It has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys. 6082 aluminium alloy combines good formability, weldability, corrosion resistance and strength after heat treatment. 6082 is the most common heat treated alloy plate from stock.
