SteelExpress offers DC53 equivalent steel - D2 Supreme™

12-Jul-2012, Wolverhampton - Steel Express is pleased to announce that it can now supply a DC53 equivalent mold and die steel - D2 Supreme™.

D2 Supreme™ has been introduced to meet the demand in the UK market for DC53 equivalent mold and die steel. D2 Supreme™ is a cold work die and mold steel. It has excellent machining characteristics which are combined with excellent wear resistance, toughness and compressive strength. D2 Supreme™ is highly recommended for use when your application required a greater toughness than could be achieved with D2 steel. In almost all cases D2 Supreme™ will out perform D2 when it comes to toughness and wear.

D2 Supreme™ can produce higher hardness (62-63 HRC) than D2 following heat treatment (D2 can achieve 55-62 HRC). It can also deliver a greater wear resistance.
