D2 Supreme™ a DC53® equivalent cold work die and mold steel
D2 Supreme™ is a cold work die and mold steel, a close equivalent to DC53®. It has excellent machining characteristics coupled with excellent wear resistance, toughness and compressive strength. Highly recommended for use when greater toughness is required. In almost all cases D2 Supreme™ will out perform D2 when it comes to toughness and wear. Steel Express supplied D2 Supreme™ as an alternative to DC53.
D2 Supreme™ can produce higher hardness (62-63 HRC) than D2 following heat treatment (D2 can achieve 55-62 HRC). It can also deliver a greater wear resistance.
